Initially hailing from Adelaide, I now live in Darwin and am Fyfe’s Chief Remote Pilot. I oversee a growing number of remote pilots nationwide, a service in high demand due to the safety and project turn around capabilities. I have 6 years’ experience with surveying and GIS, making the transition to full-time operation of Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) in 2015. I have extensive experience in airborne data collection, processing and project management involving both manned and unmanned aircraft. I have experience working with both fixed wing and multirotor Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) used within the surveying industry and has worked in a variety of industries and environments, including remote and overseas locations.
I have gained experience with multiple software programs used for flight management, digital photogrammetry, GIS, survey reductions and hyperspectral data processing. I have developed remote pilot skills enabling aircraft control for applications from inspection work to large area mapping including risk assessment and flight planning according to the requirements set by Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
I have a background in horticulture (Cert IV) and have completed Cert IV in surveying and Diploma of Spatial Information Systems (GIS).
